daily Practise

Daily practise to build your self respect.

Niceness tries to be liked. Respect doesn’t care.

  • Nice people adjust themselves to keep others comfortable.
  • Respected people stay firm, even if it creates discomfort.

Stop explaining your decisions.

  • Explanations sound like permission – seeking.
  • State your decision once. Silence does the rest.

Say no without softening it.

  • “No” followed by reasons sounds unsure.
  • A calm, short no teaches people where you stand.

Don’t fix other people’s discomfort.

  • If someone feels awkward because of your boundary, let them.
  • Their discomfort is not your responsibility.

Be predictable in values, not emotions.

  • Mood swings confuse people.
  • Clear values build trust and respect.

Correct disrespect early and calmly.

  • Ignore it once and it will repeat.
  • Address it without anger, so it doesn’t become a pattern.

Stop being available all the time.

  • Constant availability lowers value.
  • People respect those who protect their time.

Let silence do some of the work.

  • You don’t need to fill every gap.
  • Silence makes others adjust to you.

Choose self-respect over other’s approval.

  • You will lose some people when you stop being nice.
  • You will gain respect – including your own.

Don’t agree just to avoid conflict.

  • Short-term peace creates long–term disrespect.
  • People respect honesty more than quiet resentment.

Stop over smiling and nodding.

  • Constant agreement makes you look unsure.
  • Neutral reactions signal confidence.

Keep your personal problems private.

  • Oversharing invites sympathy, not respect.
  • Share selectively, and only with the right people.

Mean what you say or don’t say it.

  • Empty words train people not to take you seriously.
  • Reliability builds respect faster than charm.

Don’t chase explanations from people.

  • If someone disrespects you, observe their actions, not excuses.
  • Clarity is shown, not argued with words.

Hold eye contact when you speak.

  • It signals certainty and belief.
  • Looking away too often reads as doubt.

Stop apologizing for existing.

  • Unnecessary apologies lower your perceived value.
  • Save apologies for real mistakes.

Let people earn access to you.

  • Not everyone deserves your time, energy, love and trust.
  • Respect grows when access is earned.

Be okay with being misunderstood.

  • Trying to be understood by everyone weakens your power.
  • Strong people stay clear, not approved.
